• The evolution of light-emitting-diodes (LEDs) continues, with researchers now working to bridge the gap between 'organic' and 'inorganic' versions of the devices. The August 21 issue of the journal Science contains a new study detailing how inorganic LEDs can be made as thin and flexible as organic varieties, promising thinner devices that still have the robustness and brightness of the LEDs most of us are familiar with.
